Despite their big offseason, the Devils have struggled to start this season, with a record of 0-2-2 so far. Meanwhile, the Bruins are 3-1 and are coming off a frustrating loss to end their otherwise great road trip, so they’ll surely be looking to redeem themselves tonight. So those reasons, along with the fact that it’s their home opener and teams always seem to have extra jump during them, should mean that they’ll walk away from the game tonight with two points. That being said, the Devils should not be taken lightly despite the fact that they have looked terrible so far because they did acquire several great players this offseason and when they finally settle and start to build chemistry, they should be a great team. While that shouldn’t be a big threat tonight since it will likely happen gradually, even the bad teams can have outstanding games, so if the Bruins don’t come out and play to the best of their ability, they will not win this game. I’ll be live-tweeting the game over at PUCKerUp Boston on Twitter tonight, so come hang out with me there, especially if you can’t watch the game for some reason!
