The Bruins (1-0-0) continue their season-opening road trip tonight when they face off against the Arizona Coyotes (0-1-0) at the Gila River Arena in Arizona. Puck drop is set for 9:00 pm ET. Here are tonight’s projected lineups.
Boston Bruins:
Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak
DeBrusk-Krejci*-Kuhlman
Heinen-Coyle-Ritchie
Wagner-Kuraly-Backes

*Krejci is a game-time decision for tonight. If he does not go, Par Lindholm will draw into the lineup and some of these lines (which are from Friday’s practice) will shift. Lindholm could also draw in for Ritchie even if Krejci is good to go.
Arizona Coyotes:
Keller-Stepan-Kessel
Garland-Soderberg-Schmaltz
Crouse-Dvorak-Fischer
Grabner-Richardson-Hinostroza
Ekman-Larsson-Demers
Goligoski-Hjalmarsson

The Bruins have won the last 14 games they’ve played against the Coyotes, a streak that started on October 10th, 2010. On paper, the Bruins are the better team and should win this game, but, the first power play struggled in the season opener, as did the top line (and most of the team really). The only reason they won was that they jumped out to an early lead and Rask stood on his head for the rest of the game. So, hopefully, they fix those issues, and if they do I think they’ll win, especially since the Coyotes have a few new faces, including Phil Kessel, that are still adjusting to the team, and so they aren’t as good as they will be once they gel a little more. If not, this game could be ugly, as the Coyotes are a team on the rise and are much better than they used to be, so they should not be taken lightly. But, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens tonight!
