
The Winnipeg Jets announced yesterday, September 28th, that they have resigned forward Kyle Connor to a seven-year contract worth $50 million ($7,142,857 AAV). Connor appeared in all 82 games for the Jets last season, in which he produced 34 goals and 32 assists. He then played in all six of the team’s playoff games, through which he tallied three goals and two assists. Drafted 17th overall of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by Winnipeg, Connor has appeared in 179 career NHL games, over which he has recorded 67 goals and 61 assists. The 22-year-old left wing has only played for the Jets organization over his three season NHL and professional career.
Full Contract Breakdown:
- 2019-20: $7.5 million base salary, no signing bonus.
- 2020-21: $8 million base salary, no signing bonus.
- 2021-22: $7.5 million base salary, no signing bonus.
- 2022-23: $5 million base salary, no signing bonus.
- 2023-24: $7.5 million base salary, no signing bonus.
- 2024-25: $7.5 million base salary, no signing bonus, a no trade clause (NTC).
- 2025-26: $7 million base salary, no signing bonus, a NTC.
