Pregame Report: Boston Bruins vs Philadelphia Flyers- September 23rd, 2019 (Preseason)

The Bruins kick off the home portion of their preseason schedule tonight when the Philadelphia Flyers visit the TD Garden. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm ET, and the game will be broadcast on NESNplus for those within the Boston market, NBC Sports Philadelphia for those within the Philadelphia market, as well as on NHL Network for everyone else. Here’s the projected lineups for tonight’s game.

Boston Bruins:

Please keep in mind these were the lines at the Bruins’ morning skate this morning and are subject to change. If anything does, I will update this post.

    Marchand-Coyle-Pastrnak

    DeBrusk-Krejci-Ritchie

    Heinen-Frederic-Wagner

    Lauko-Kuraly-Backes

    Chara-Clifton

    Vaakanainen-Petrovic

    Zboril-Didier

    Rask

    Vladar

Philadelphia Flyers:

The Flyers have not released their projected lines for tonight, but they did release the traveling roster, which is as follows.

Forwards: Andy Andreoff, Travis Konecny, Kevin Hayes, Sean Couturier, Scott Laughton, Oskar Lindblom, James van Riemsdyk, Chris Stewart, German Rubtsov, Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Connor Bunnaman, Carson Twarynski.

Defensemen: Philippe Myers, Travis Sanheim, Shayne Gostisbehere, Samuel Morin, Justin Braun, Mark Friedman

    Goaltenders: Brian Elliott, Carter Hart.

Tonight’s lineups appear somewhat evenly matched on paper, with the edge probably going to the Bruins because they have a few more lineup regulars and Rask is starting in net. So, the Bruins should win this game in theory, but I also thought they’d get completely crushed on Saturday night and they took the Blackhawks to OT, so what do I know. It’ll be nice to see them back on home ice though and for those of us at home, we finally get to listen to Jack and Brick again instead of the annoying NBC guys or some other team’s commentators! So it’ll certainly be a fun game tonight, and I hope to do a postgame for this blog as I should have time, so stay tuned for that later!
