Pregame Report: Boston Bruins at Philadelphia Flyers- September 19th, 2019 (Preseason)

The Bruins continue their postseason schedule tonight at 7pm against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center. The game is being broadcasted on NESN, NHL Network, and NBC Sports Philadelphia. Here are the lineups for tonights’ matchup.

Bruins:

Bjork-Coyle-Heinen

Blidh-Kuraly-Backes

DeBrusk-Studnicka-Kuhlman

Cehlarik-Gaunce-Lantosi

Lauzon-Clifton

Vaakanainen-Petrovic

Zech-Didier

Zboril

Halak

Lagace

Flyers:

The Flyers did not release their projected lines, only their roster, so here’s that.

Forwards: Andy Andreoff, Sean Couturier, James van Riemskdyk, Claude Giroux, Morgan Frost, Joel Farabee, German Rubstov, Kyle Criscuolo, Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Carsten Twarynski, Connor Bunnaman, Jakub Voracek.

Defensemen: Philippe Myers, Ivan Provorov, Matt Niskanen, Chris Bigras, Tyler Wotherspoon, Shayne Gostisbehere, Justin Braun, Rob Michel.

Goaltenders: Alex Lyon, Brian Elliot.

On paper, these lineups look pretty even, as both have a few veterans mixed in with several prospects. The Flyers have a few more lineup regulars than the Bruins do, but it should still be a pretty evenly matched game, or at the very least much more so than last game. One line from the Bruins that I’m very interested to watch tonight is that of Bjork, Coyle, and Heinen, as they could easily be the third-line during the regular season if they do well together tonight and for whatever other preseason games Cassidy decides to put them together for. I’ll be live-tweeting over at the PUCKerUp Bruins twitter tonight so make sure you tune in there! I may also write a postgame for this blog, but it’ll depend on how much time I have and how tired I am.
