The Vancouver Canucks announced today, September 16th, that they have resigned forward Brock Boeser to a three-year contract worth $17.625 million ($5.875 million AAV). Boeser appeared in 69 games for the Canucks last season, in which he produced 26 goals and 30 assists. Drafted 23rd overall of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by Vancouver, Boeser has played in 140 career NHL games, over which he has recorded 59 goals and 57 assists. The 22-year-old right wing has only played for the Canucks organization over his slightly over three season NHL and professional career after turning pro following his sophomore season at the University of North Dakota in 2016-17.
This post will be updated tomorrow with the full contract breakdown and my reaction to the signing.
