Only trades that happened after the official start of the offseason (June 13th, 2019) will be on here. Contract term and the average annual value (same as the cap hit unless otherwise noted) for players or specific pick numbers (if known) are in parentheses, and if there are any conditions on picks, they will be listed at the end. If they are AHL or junior players, that will also be noted in the parentheses.
July 1st:
- Ottawa Senators and the Toronto Maple Leafs. OTT receives forward Connor Brown (one year remaining at $2,100,000 AAV), defenseman Nikita Zaitsev (five years remaining at $4,500,000 AAV), and forward Michael Carcone ($0, AHL/JR, signing rights) in exchange for defenseman Cody Ceci ($0, signing rights), defenseman Ben Harpur (one year remaining at $725,000 AAV), forward Aaron Luchuk ($0, AHL/JR), and Columbus’ 2020 third round pick.
- Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers. BUF receives forward Jimmy Vesey (one year remaining at $2,275,000 AAV) in exchange for their 2021 third round pick.
- Colorado Avalanche and the Toronto Maple Leafs. COL receives forward Nazem Kadri (three years remaining at $4.5 million AAV), defenseman Calle Rosen (two years remaining at $750,000 AAV), and TOR’s 2020 third round pick in exchange for defenseman Tyson Barrie (one year remaining at $5.5 million AAV, but he will carry a $2.75 million cap hit), forward Alexander Kerfoot ($0, signing rights), and their 2020 sixth round pick. Colorado retains 50% ($2.75 million) of Barrie’s salary, which drops his cap hit to $2.75 million next season for the Leafs.
June 30th:
- Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers. CAR receives goaltender James Reimer (two years remaining at $3,400,000 AAV) in exchange for goaltender Scott Darling (had two years remaining at $4,150,000 AAV, but FLA bought him out as soon as the trade was complete) and BUF’s 2020 sixth round pick.
- Montreal Canadiens and the Chicago Blackhawks. MTL receives CHI’s 2020 second and seventh round picks and 2021 third round pick in exchange for Andrew Shaw (three years remaining at $3,900,000 AAV) and their 2021 seventh round pick.
- Anaheim Ducks and the Montreal Canadiens. ANA receives forward Nicolas Deslauriers (one year remaining at $950,000 AAV) in exchange for their 2020 fourth round pick.
June 29th:
- Colorado Avalanche and the Florida Panthers. COL receives defenseman Jacob MacDonald ($0, AHL/JR) in exchange for forward Dominic Toninato $0, AHL/JR, signing rights).
- Arizona Coyotes and the Pittsburgh Penguins. ARI receives forward Phil Kessel (three years remaining at a $6,800,000 cap hit as TOR still retains $1,200,000 of his AAV), defenseman Dane Birks ($0, AHL/JR) and PIT’s 2021 fourth round pick in exchange for forward Alex Galchenyuk (one year remaining at $4,900,000 AAV) and defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph ($0, AHL/JR).
June 28th:
- Colorado Avalanche and the Washington Capitals. COL receives forward Andre Burakovsky ($0, signing rights) in exchange for forward Scott Kosmachuk ($0, AHL/JR, signing rights), their 2020 second round pick, and ARI’s 2020 third round pick.
- Buffalo Sabres and the Vegas Golden Knights. BUF receives defenseman Colin Miller (three years remaining at $3,875,000 AAV) in exchange for STL’s 2021 second round pick and their 2022 fifth round pick.
June 27th:
- Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights. CAR receives forward Erik Haula (one year remaining at $2,750,000 AAV) in exchange for forward Nicholas Roy ($0, AHL/JR) and their 2021 conditional fifth-round pick. Conditions: Vegas receives the 2021 fifth-round draft pick if Haula is on the Hurricane’s roster past the 2019-20 season, and/or if Carolina trades Haula for one of the following: a player, multiple draft picks, or draft picks in round one to five. If no condition is met, the pick will not be transferred.
June 25th:
- Arizona Coyotes and the Colorado Avalanche. ARI receives forward Carl Soderberg (one year remaining at $4,750,000 AAV) in exchange for defenseman Kevin Connauton (one year remaining at $1,375,000 AAV) and their 2020 third round pick.
June 24th:
- Dallas Stars and the Philadelphia Flyers. DAL receives forward Ryan Hartman ($0, signing rights) in exchange for forward Tyler Pitlick (one year remaining at $1,000,000 AAV).
- Carolina Hurricanes and the Chicago Blackhawks. CAR receives goaltender Anton Forsberg ($0, AHL/JR, signing rights) and defenseman Gustav Forsling ($0, signing rights) in exchange for defenseman Calvin de Haan (three years remaining at $4,550,000 AAV) and Aleksi Sarrela ($0, signing rights).
June 22nd:
- Carolina Hurricanes and the Toronto Maple Leafs. CAR receives forward Patrick Marleau (one year remaining at $6,250,000 AAV) and TOR’s 2020 conditional first round pick and their 2020 seventh round pick. Conditions: If the Leaf’s pick is top ten in 2020, the Hurricanes will receive Toronto’s 2021 first round pick instead.
- Nashville Predators and the New Jersey Devils. NSH receives defenseman Steven Santini (two years remaining at $1,416,666 AAV), defenseman Jeremy Davies ($0, AHL/JR), and NJD’s 2019 and 2020 second round picks (2019 was #34 overall) in exchange for defenseman P.K. Subban (three years remaining at $9,000,000 AAV)
- Nashville Predators and the Philadelphia Flyers. NSH receives ARI’s 2019 second round pick (#45 overall) and NJD’s 2019 third round pick (#65 overall) in exchange for NJD’s 2019 second round pick (#34 overall)

- Chicago Blackhawks and the New Jersey Devils. CHI receives forward John Quenneville ($o, AHL/JR, signing rights) in exchange for forward John Hayden (one year remaining at $750,000 AAV).
- Tampa Bay Lightning and the Vancouver Canucks. TBL receives goaltender Marek Mazanec ($0, AHL/JR, signing rights), and VAN’s 2019 third round pick (#71 overall) and 2020 conditional first-round pick in exchange for forward J.T. Miller (four years remaining at $5,250,000 AAV). Conditions: If the Canucks do not make the playoffs in 2019-20, the 2020 first round pick will transfer to a 2021 first round pick instead.
- Los Angeles Kings and the Montreal Canadiens. LAK receives CBJ’s 2019 second round pick (#50 overall) in exchange for their 2019 third round pick (#64 overall) and fifth round pick (#126 overall).
